Malayalam movies are popular worldwide for their content; movies like Drishyam, Kurup and Godfather, which have originated from the Malayalam film fraternity, have created a buzz among audiences from the northern belt of the country. In May 2024 a Malayalam movie ‘Thalavan‘ was released. The movie was successful in bringing audiences to the theatres and earning more than 25 crores in its theatrical run. Thalavan movie is based on the crime-thriller genre and is one of the gems produced by Mollywood.

After the successful run of the movie in theatres, from today onwards, i.e. 10th September, the Thalavan OTT release will be made on the Sony LIV OTT platform. Thalavan movie is released in 7 languages including Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Bengali.

The movie starts with a former officer narrating his case on a YouTube channel, In the story, a murder happens in a police officer’s home and the allegations are put against the officer further it leads to many twists and turns and in the end, the whole story is solved, the climax of this movie different from other crime-thriller movie, it’s fantastic.
